A fire fan consisting of dirty-white white heron feathers bound together by three pieces of bamboo wood and pink string.

Notes on accession card:
"Payati used in initiation rites
14 white heron feathers attached at base by running 2 bamboo sticks at bottom of quill and attached near top by long bamboo stick through upper quills with pink twine around base. Used for fanning a nephew."
