Philadelphia, May 31, 18'73 Dear Edward./ Your letter of [?]/ 30th inst. is before me/ and the check $180 came safe [?]/ It is all right, at least I [?]/ same it is./ It would be well to have/ a standing agent in Pittsburg,/ if a good one can be found./ One would hardly take it after/ you are done with it however/ I shall not appoint W.H. Jones/ at Monongahela City untill[sic] I hear/ further from you./ Being as I am [?] the evening/ of leaving for Cross Roads this/ afternoon I shall have to [?]/ you off with only a note [?]/ Yours aff./ W Still/
