Aug. 2 1869/ My Dear Carrie/ Your most/ welcome letter has been/ duly received. Not only/ you have had unpleasant/ feelings but myself also./ Mine were caused by/ refusing to do my duty/ This duty I will tell you/ of when I come The Lord/ being my helper I shall/ Cleveland on the eight/ thirty train Friday/ morning.
