Philadelphia Sesamo, People in solidarity with the families of Sewol Ferry, has been created since May 2014. A year later, they created its Facebook page on January 18, 2015. Since then, various activities such as performances, gathering, picketing have been planned and promoted via its facebook page.
With the 2016 South Korean political scandal, this group has been created since November 20, 2016. The community is for Korean immigrants in Hawaii. It aims to contribute to democracy in Korea. Along with picketings to urge president's immediate resignation, it also commemorates the Sewol Ferry tragedy.
